I know our dreams will never die

In some team work or motivation seminar, Diana Ross' hits 'If We Hold On Together', used to be its theme song. Usually they sing this song together, at the end of the seminar, to motivate and build their new mind set?

Now, I don't really believe in the meaning beyond this song...
Hhhh... *is there an emoticon for cynical smile?

Does anyone know the truly meaning beyond the word 'together' in this song?
Does this 'successfull' tips inside the together just mean: not being separated?
Or could you add another detail, such as:

IF YOU HOLD ON TOGETHER WITH THE RIGHT PERSON,
I KNOW UR DREAMS WILL NEVER DIE

Because in this case, i think
If we hold on together forever,
just in the name of TOGETHERNESS~

We'll die.
Together.
*not like Romeo Juliet, btw. 
But maybe like..... i don't know like what.. -.-



How if actually, things will be better, if we go on our own way?
How can you hold on this far?
This unfairness for the sake of togetherness??

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. ---> Until when? Until we die together?
